What Would Oil Exports Mean For U.S. Economy?

The White House said this week that it would oppose legislation to lift the long-time ban on oil exports. Press Secretary Josh Earnest punted the decision to the Department of Commerce, but House Republicans and oil companies are calling for the export of U.S. oil. A vote in the House is expected in the coming weeks - this as oil prices are down about 60 percent from 2014 highs.
