It’s been 100 years since Justice Louis Brandeis was confirmed to the country’s highest court. He was the first justice from a Jewish background to serve on the Supreme Court.

In his new book, “Louis D. Brandeis: American Prophet,” author and law professor Jeffrey Rosen examines Brandeis’s judicial philosophy, and looks at the social and legal challenges he faced, surprisingly similar to those we confront today.
