New Jersey Eliminates Cash Bail For Some Crimes04:17

New Jersey's criminal justice system is going through a seismic shift.

The state got rid of cash bail for most defendants on Jan. 1. That means most non-violent offenders won't wait around in a jail cell just because they can't post bail. Instead, they have a good chance of being released until their trial.
