The first census invites go out Wednesday. For the 2020 census, residents of the U.S. are supposed to be counted where they usually live and sleep. But that can be complicated when counting college students, children and incarcerated people. The coronavirus adds another complication.

Here & Now's Tonya Mosley speaks with NPR's Hansi Lo Wang (hansilowang) about the unique challenges to this year's census.

This segment aired on March 12, 2020.
