Under the federal relief package rolled out during the pandemic, self-employed people — such as stylists and barbers — can now collect unemployment. Kristin Snyder, a hairstylist in Ann Arbor, Michigan, started an online petition to raise awareness and funds for people in her industry who are out of work.
