Rural Airline Bankruptcy Leaves Native Alaskans With Medical Emergencies Stranded
Due to a scheduling issue, this segment did not air on May 11 as planned.
When Ravn AirGroup declared bankruptcy in April, many Alaska Native villages were left without mail delivery — and transportation, including emergency medical transport. The airline blames its demise on the travel restrictions that many communities put in place to protect themselves from COVID-19.
