Hope After Hashtags: A Young Black Minnesotan Reflects On Race After Floyd Killing02:50

Like many Americans, 22-year-old Erianna Jiles has been thinking a lot about racism in America. Perhaps even more so, since she's Black and from Minnesota, where George Floyd was killed by police.

Jiles wonders what life will look like when the Black Lives Matter protests end and the hashtags disappear.

This story was produced by YR Media, a national network of diverse young journalists and artists, and is part of a collaboration between YR Media and WNYC's Radio Rookies called 18-to-29 Now: Young America Speaks Up.

This segment aired on June 12, 2020.
