Nursing Schools See Increase In Demand During Pandemic

Applications for degrees in health care are on the rise during the pandemic. The Association of American Medical Colleges has seen an 18% increase in applications to medical schools nationwide, this year over last. Nursing schools are also reporting big increases in interest and applications.

Here & Now's Peter O'Dowd speaks with Donna Glynn, associate dean of pre-licensure nursing at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.

O'Dowd also speaks with Tanya Sanon, a senior nursing major in Villanova University's Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.
