In Michigan, those awaiting trial languish in jail

More than 120 people have been held in a Wayne County jail in Michigan for over 18 months during the pandemic.

This backlog of cases raises concerns about their right to a speedy trial and the lack of access to COVID-19 precautions such as social distancing.
