Countries are working to evacuate their nationals from Sudan by land, air and sea. Warring factions have been fighting inside Sudan for more than a week, leading to a humanitarian crisis.

The capital city of Khartoum with a population of 5 million people is facing shortages of food, water and fuel.

Here & Now's Scott Tong talks with a spokesperson for the French Foreign Ministry Anne-Claire Legendre about France's effort to evacuate people from Sudan.
