Scientists are looking for clues of life elsewhere in the universe: the presence of water or carbon dioxide.
The search for life is the topic of a new book for young readers called "Is There Anybody Out There? The Search for Extraterrestrial Life, from Amoebas to Aliens" by journalist Laura Krantz.
When stories broke about the Pentagon’s secret UFO program called Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATI, people were fascinated, Krantz says.
“I personally was also really interested in it. And then to find out that that resonated with so many people just made me want to kind of dive in,” Krantz says, “because it's one of those big mysteries that we don't really have an answer for.”
