Airlines warn of tariffs are slowing travel demand

03:35

Many major U.S. airlines — including American, Delta and Southwest — are warning that the Trump administration's moves on tariffs and the ensuing economic uncertainty are hampering revenue.

Delta is predicting slower growth and as a result is scaling back flight schedules in the second half of the year. More airlines are expected to release their plans this month.

For more on this turbulent time in the industry, host Robin Young speaks to Here & Now's transportation analyst Seth Kaplan.

This segment aired on April 9, 2025.
