When you think about what it means to be American, your feelings about the iconic symbols of the country might come up. As we reflect on America’s 250th birthday, we want to know:

How do you feel about the American flag? Does it make you feel connected to others? What life experiences have shaped your views over the years? Do you fly the flag? Why or why not? What does it mean to you?

Tell us, and we may include your voice in coverage leading up to Independence Day.

Send us a voice message by clicking on the button below, or submit a written response to letters@hereandnow.org. Please include your full name and contact information. And don't forget to tell us where you live. Your response may be used on air. For voice messages, please say and spell your name.
