The new school year is off to a smooth start at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School.

That's in stark contrast to last year's school opening, when many students did not receive their class schedules.

Madison Park is the only vocational education school in the Boston Public School system, and it's future was very much in doubt.

WBUR's Delores Handy reports on how the high schoolers fared on their first day back.

This segment aired on September 9, 2015.
