The MBTA will ring in the new year with a new general manager, the fifth new boss there since Gov. Charlie Baker took office.

In what state transportation officials call a mutual agreement, Luis Ramirez has left the GM post after just over a year.

WBUR's Quincy Walters reports for Morning Edition.

Luis Ramirez's name was initially wrong in this article. We regret the error.

This segment aired on December 12, 2018.
