Today's Weather: Sunshine All Day Today, From Sunrise to Sunset

Today is going to be a rare day for April because we will see the sun from the beginning to the end. This has been a wet month with more than 4 inches of rain for the area and more rain expected this weekend. The April showers saying is acting true to form.

The next weather system arrives tomorrow with clouds on the increase overnight. I think that the Friday morning commute will end up dry, but the evening will end up wet. This of course affects traffic, which has been increasingly difficult over the years and whenever we get precipitation, it makes it that much worse. Plan accordingly.

Saturday morning dawns with clouds and even a couple of showers. I realize those of you with kids or those who play Saturday morning field games have been disappointed by the weather this month.

Once again there may be some postponements or cancellations. The showers will come to an end between 9 a.m. and noon. I think we should all keep our expectations low for sunshine on Saturday. The clouds are going to try to linger and it may be one of those days where it takes until 4 or 5 p.m. before the sun makes an appearance. If it comes out earlier, consider us lucky and if we don't see it until it sets it wouldn't surprise me.

We'll get a brief break on Sunday morning with some blue skies, but another weather system crosses the area during the middle part of the day with a few more showers.

Let's hope that the wet weekend pattern does not continue into summer.
