White House Takes A Few Hours To Fix 'Red Socks' Typo

The Boston Red Sox are scheduled to visit the White House on Thursday to celebrate their 2018 World Series victory.

But it seemed for a time Thursday morning that the White House was not actually sure which team would be coming. The event listing said "Red Socks."

Eagle-eyed Twitter user "bee" noticed the typo at 7:30 a.m.

The error was also present on the White House's official YouTube channel.

The error was fixed by 9 a.m. and now correctly states just who is coming to the White House.

The visit itself has been under a cloud of controversy after manager Alex Cora and other Red Sox players of color said they wouldn't be attending the ceremony. As it currently stands, mostly white players and other Red Sox employees will be present to meet with President Trump.
