'Yes': Without Hesitating, Warren Says She’d Accept A Veep Offer From Biden

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she would accept an offer from former Vice President Joe Biden to be his running mate if he makes it.

“If he asked you to be his running mate, would you say yes?” MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow asked Warren in an interview Wednesday night.

“Yes,” Warren replied without hesitation.

Biden vowed during a presidential debate last month to select a woman as his running mate if he became the nominee. Warren endorsed Biden in a video message Wednesday, about a week after his last primary challenger, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, suspended his campaign.

Warren told Maddow that although she has had differences with Biden in the past, she believes he is now the best choice to beat President Trump.

“Look, we both want the same thing,” Warren said of Biden. “We want this country to work and we want it to work for everyone. So I’m in this fight to help in any way that I can.”
