Mayor Wu presses state Senate to pass Boston's property tax shift proposal
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is waiting on Beacon Hill. She wants legislators to allow the city to shift some of Boston's property tax burden from homeowners to businesses to avoid what she says will be a massive spike in residential taxes.
After hitting hurdles, the House passed the change Monday. But the Senate postponed a vote on the measure until next week.
Wu joins WBUR's Morning Edition to talk about where her proposal stands and what it means for residents' tax bills. She also talks about her re-election campaign.
