Times have changed and so have the anchors. But a lot has stayed the same. Revenues still add up to hundreds of millions of dollars a year. A white male anchor still dominates the rating.

This hour On Point: the future of network news — stay tuned.

Guests:

Peter Johnson, media reporter for USA Today

Judy Muller, Professor of Journalism at USC's Annenberg School for Communications

Ted Koppel, Managing Editor at Discovery Channel and Senior News Analyst for National Public Radio.

This program aired on July 23, 2007.
