As part of our series of interviews with the gubernatorial candidates in the week before the election, we talk with Charlie Baker, the Republican candidate for office and former CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

Baker says taxes are too high and state government needs streamlining. His message has hit home with voters; polls have consistently shown him to be in close competition with Gov. Deval Patrick, his Democratic opponent. But it hasn't been all smooth sailing for Baker. He's had to answer tough questions about his role in the Big Dig. And although he's polling near Patrick, he continues to linger slightly behind.

We'll talk with Baker to find out why he believes he's the candidate for the job, and he'll take your questions.
