In all the well-deserved fervor over the Stanley Cup victory of the boys in Black and Gold, Boston's other sports teams have taken a bit of a backseat this week. But it is summer, or almost, and that means the boys in red stockings will be taking the field at Fenway Park and the stands will be filled with adoring fans, wearing all manner of colorful sports regalia.

One Red Sox fan says a color she's always on the look out for when she's watching games at home on T.V., is black. As in black faces in the stands.

Francie Latour wrote about the sad lack of African-American fans in the Boston Globe's special section on diversity in Boston.
