Now that "Saturday Night Live" is on summer break, Boston's Improv Asylum is taking its turn in the late-night weekend comedy slot.

The North End based company responsible for The Oscar Winning Boston Movie faux-trailer is launching a half-hour sketch comedy TV show that premiers Saturday at midnight on WCVB Channel 5.

If all goes well, Improv Asylum hopes to take its new "Vanity Project" national. We get a sneak preview.

Guests:

  • Norm Laviolette and Chet Harding, co-founders, Improv Asylum

This segment aired on June 30, 2011.
