The recent murder of a Wayland High School graduate has drawn attention to dating violence among young people.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, one in five teens will experience it at some point.

So the City of Boston's Public Health Commission has stepped in. It held its second annual Breakup SummitWednesday drawing almost 250 teens and adults from around the state.

WBUR's Bianca Vazquez Toness reports on some frank talk about the nuances of relationships and breakups.

This segment aired on July 21, 2011.
