New England Aquarium 'Explorer In Residence' Reveals His 'Ocean Soul'

Brian Skerry has about the best job title on the planet: Explorer in Residence for the New England Aquarium.

He's also one of National Geographic's top marine photographers, though he considers himself more of a photojournalist, telling stories about the beautiful and increasingly sad goings-on in the deep.

Skerry's work also gives an image and a face to the research and advocacy that happens behind the scenes at the aquarium.

The new anthology of his photographs is called "Ocean Soul." Skerry met us at the aquarium to show us his favorite images, and explain how a kid from Uxbridge, Mass. grows up to be a marine explorer.
