When you first hear the music of the Boston based band, Bad Rabbits, it's reminiscent of classic R&B, with shades of disco. But it's not so easy to classify. It's kick-back party music — a blend of R&B, rock, funk, and maybe something else, as well.

But whatever you call it, Bad Rabbits have taken off, opening for the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan, Passion Pit and John Legend. They've just released their debut full-length album, American Love.

Bad Rabbits will be performing at the Boston Calling Music Festival on Saturday, May 25th

Guests

Fredua Boakye, founding member of Bad Rabbits.

Salim Akram, founding member of Bad Rabbits.

This segment aired on May 17, 2013.
