Pornography has always been controversial. But in the digital age, it's also easier to access than ever. The question is, what effect is that having on young people — and is it necessarily a bad effect? What, if anything, should parents do about it?

Aline Zoldbrod is a Boston-based sex therapist. She recently authored a guest post on WBUR's CommonHealth blog, where she sounds an alarm: "I see a sexual and relational train-wreck happening," she writes. "Parents and policy-makers beware: Something very bad is happening out there with teenagers and pornography. Internet port has the potential to change some adolescents' sexual development in a very damaging way: It can ruin or hinder their ability to form sexual relationships."
