Tazhaykov Guilty In Bombing Obstruction Case

A federal jury today found Azamat Tazhayakov guilty of impeding the FBI's investigation in to the Boston Marathon bombings when he removed evidence from the dorm room of his friend, bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Jurors deliberated for 15 hours over three days before returning their verdict. The jury also delivered one not guilty finding on a related charge.

Tazhayakov now faces up to 25 years in prison.

WBUR's Sacha Pfeiffer speaks with reporter Bruce Gellerman, who was in the courtroom as the verdict was read.
