Mass. Doctor Who Survived Ebola Headed Back To Liberia

The Massachusetts doctor who contracted Ebola last year while working at a Liberian hospital announced Monday that he'll be heading back there on Thursday.

Dr. Rick Sacra recovered from the deadly virus last summer at a hospital in Nebraska and said Monday he won’t be working directly with Ebola patients but might be asked to help from time to time, since doctors say he’s now immune.


Dr. Rick Sacra, assistant professor of family medicine and community health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a missionary at SIM.
