Bostonians Want A Vote On Olympic Games Bid

A new poll from WBUR suggests that Boston's bid to host the summer Olympics in 2024 could lead to a loud debate in the city.

While it found that a majority of Bostonians support the effort to bring the games to the city, it also found that an overwhelming majority of residents — 75 percent — want a referendum on the issue. And at this point, there are no plans for that. In fact, Mayor Mary Walsh says there will be no vote — though he has committed to a series of public hearings.
