Bostonians may not be the only ones that are split about the Olympics. An informal poll of International Olympic Committee members by a sports writer in California says they're not so keen on Beantown holding the international event if the voters don't want it.

It’s that the USOC board chose to dismiss or ignore that diligence, and in particular the low approval numbers in the polls. Now the figure stands at 39 percent. That is, in a word, abysmal. The IOC wants 70 percent.
