Cambridge Poet Clint Smith On Race In America

Clint Smith is an award-winning teacher, 2014 National Poetry Slam winner, and now the author of a collection of poems, "Counting Descent."

The New Orleans native joined us in studio to talk about Hurricane Katrina, being a student at Harvard, and teaching at the Bay State Correctional Center in Norfolk.

Smith will be reading from "Counting Descent" at the Cambridge Public Library Wednesday night and at Harvard University's Lamont Library Thursday night.
