A Mother's Story Of Dealing With Her Daughter's Opioid Addiction

Maureen Cavanagh is perhaps best known in the Massachusetts recovery community for starting the nonprofit Magnolia New Beginnings, which helps families dealing with addiction.

And in her new book, Cavanagh tells the story of her daughter Katie's addiction, something she says she initially denied was happening.

Maureen Cavanagh will be in conversation with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and author Sam Quinones on Wednesday night at the Old South Church in Boston.
