Gov. Charlie Baker's daily coronavirus briefings have become a staple of Massachusetts life. So have those by our neighbor, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who's updates are watched across the country. Also, people have turned to those from President Trump and the federal coronavirus Task Force.

Listening to our elected officials daily, we got to thinking about approaches to leadership in a time of crisis. We take calls with David Gergen, an advisor to four U.S. Presidents — Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton.  He's also co-director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

This segment aired on April 8, 2020.
