Around the country, protesters have started pushing back against stay-at-home orders and advisories, calling for a reopening of normal business operations. On Saturday, hundreds of people reportedly assembled outside the New Hampshire statehouse to protest Gov. Sununu's handling of the coronavirus crisis.

We'll hear from a protester and talk about the intersection between our civil liberties and public safety with WBUR's legal analyst and retired federal judge Nancy Gertner.

Plus, we'll get perspective from Dr. Shira Doron, an infectious disease physician and hospital epidemiologist at Tufts Medical Center, who will explain why our leaders have turned to such extreme measures in combating the coronavirus.

This segment aired on April 23, 2020.
