What's It Like To Be Pregnant During A Global Pandemic?
ResumeWe know that certain people can be particularly susceptible to the coronavirus — for example, those who are immune-compromised. But we still don't know much about how the virus affects people who are pregnant and their babies, which can induce a number of concerns and anxieties for families expecting.
We speak with Boston Globe Ideas Editor Anica Butler, who recently wrote about her own experiences and fears being pregnant during this pandemic.
We also hear from Dr. Anjali Kaimal, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and obstetrician/gynecologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also the chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
This segment aired on May 5, 2020.
