As Massachusetts approaches Phase 3 of its reopening, other states are being forced to reevaluate or even halt their reopening plans.

We've managed to gradually reopen businesses and restaurants while still keeping case numbers low, but many southern and western states haven't been so fortunate. So how could that affect us down the road?

And with July 4th this weekend, what's safe and what's not, as you consider gathering with friends and family?

Two local doctors tackle these questions: Dr. Cassandra Pierre and Dr. Joshua Barocas, both of Boston Medical Center and the Boston University School of Medicine.

This segment aired on July 2, 2020.
