On Friday, a federal appeals court overturned the death penalty verdict for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, ordering a new penalty-phase trial be held. On Sunday, President Trump responded to the ruling, tweeting that "the federal government must again seek the Death Penalty in a do-over of that chapter of the original trial."

So will Boston see another death penalty trial for the Boston Marathon bomber? We talk with Nancy Gertner, WBUR Legal Analyst, retired federal judge, and senior lecturer at Harvard Law School, and David Boeri, WBUR reporter emeritus.

This segment aired on August 3, 2020.
