Senator Ed Markey Makes His Case For Another Term

12:53

A year ago, polls showed Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey down by double-digits to his Democratic primary challenger, Congressman Joe Kennedy. Some prognosticators actually thought he might just step aside and retire.

Instead, Markey beat Kennedy by 11 points in last month's primary, thanks in large part to a wave of support from young, progressive voters and a savvy social media operation.

Next up? The general election, and a challenge from Republican attorney, Kevin O'Connor. Senator Markey joins us to explain why he believes voters should re-elect him to the Senate.

This segment aired on October 14, 2020.
