On Eve Of New Restrictions, We Take Your Coronavirus Questions
ResumeOn Wednesday, the U.S. marked a record-breaking 100,000 new cases of COVID-19. Massachusetts reported its highest daily infection number since May, with more than 1,600 new cases.
At midnight Thursday, new restrictions from the governor go into effect here: everyone over the age of 5 will have to start wearing a mask in public in the Commonwealth. There will be a 10 p.m. stay-at-home advisory. Businesses including liquor stores will have to close at 9:30, restaurants can't seat new guests after 9:30, and allowed capacity for groups, in both public and private spaces, will drop.
We take listener calls with Dr. Shira Doron, an infectious disease physician and hospital epidemiologist at Tufts Medical Center, and Bob Luz, the president and CEO of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association.
This segment aired on November 5, 2020.
