The Massachusetts legislature has until midnight Tuesday to pass any remaining bills and send them to Governor Charlie Baker. That includes a major climate bill up for a vote.

"An Act Creating a Next-Generation Roadmap for Massachusetts Climate Policy" surfaced after six months of negotiations Sunday, aiming to get Massachusetts to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

We discuss the bill with one of its chief negotiators, State Senator Michael Barrett, and hear from WBUR senior reporter Bruce Gellerman.

This segment aired on January 4, 2021.
