Rep. Lynch Slams MBTA's Latest Round Of Service Cuts

17:53

Massachusetts Congressman Stephen Lynch is criticizing the MBTA's latest round of service cuts, arguing they aren't necessary.

In a letter to MBTA General Manager Steve Poftak, Lynch and the entire Massachusetts congressional delegation say they want answers on why the T is moving forward with previously-planned service cuts despite receiving more federal aid from the newly-signed American Rescue Plan.

Lynch says the pressure is working, with the operator of the commuter rail agreeing to roll back a round of proposed layoffs. We catch up with Lynch from Washington.

This segment aired on March 18, 2021.
