Over the past year, students have adapted to remote learning. For many, it’s been hard. Distractions at home, trouble focusing, and difficult home environments have all challenged students trying to learn.

But there’s also been some bright spots; students have more access to their teachers, more time to reflect on their learning styles and organizational skills, and for many, more time to relax in bed before class.

WBUR’s education team begins a series on “Unexpected Lessons” the pandemic has taught students and teachers. Joining us to discuss is WBUR senior education reporter Carrie Jung.

This segment aired on May 17, 2021.
