Tufts Medical Center's Dr. Shira Doron answers coronavirus questions
ResumeMore than a million of us vaccinated here in the commonwealth are now eligible for a booster — now that FDA and CDC allow certain groups to boost. But some, even on the scientific panels endorsing boosters, question if they're necessary.
This comes as the FDA meets formally today to weigh the benefits and risks of a dose of Pfizer's vaccine for children five through 11. Halloween is just around the corner, kids trick-or-treating is on, and so are the masks. Today the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Jeff Riley extended the school mask requirement until at least January 15.
For the latest on masks, boosters, kid's vaccines — even "plus" versions of the delta variant --- we turn to Dr. Shira Doron, infectious disease physician and hospital epidemiologist at Tufts Medical Center.
This segment aired on October 26, 2021.
