Annissa Essaibi George has had one wild year.

The at-large Boston city councilor jumped into the wide open mayoral race in March, and steadily rose to the top of the pack, drawing the second-highest vote count in September's preliminary election.

She spent the fall campaigning all over the city — at one point for 24 hours straight without sleep — before falling short to Michelle Wu.

Essaibi George is now serving her final days on the Boston City Council, and joins us to reflect and and assess her next steps.

This segment aired on December 23, 2021.
