This is the rundown for Radio Boston for February 21. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • New England historian Nathaniel Philbrick's new book, "Travels with George: In Search of Washington and His Legacy," chronicles two parallel journeys, more than two centuries apart. We revisit our conversation with Philbrick about Washington's journey across the region, and what he learned on his own journey, following in Washington's footsteps.
  • Former Boston Bruin and Stanley Cup Champion Shawn Thornton joins us to talk about his new book, his career as an NHL enforcer, and how he's thinking about the game now that he's hung up his skates.
  • The familiar sounds of the Boston-born music legend will be ringing through the streets around the Colonial Theater this month. We talk with Boston Globe columnist Renée Graham and Brittny Smith, who plays Diva Donna in the show.

This program aired on February 18, 2022.
