WBUR explores why Boston police waited years to charge an alleged 'serial rapist'

12:37

WBUR reporter Walter Wuthmann joins Radio Boston to discuss his reporting on Alvin Campbell, a man who was linked to three reported rapes and one assault with intent to rape beginning in 2016 but was not arrested until a fifth case in 2020. Experts say the case is a prime example of how police and prosecutors often fail to take action when victims report sexual assaults.

This segment aired on April 24, 2024.
