Why experts are betting on influencers to bust health myths

Health misinformation is everywhere online, from miracle weight-loss pills to untrue claims about birth control. But a new study from Boston University School of Public Health finds social media influencers can be an unlikely ally in fighting false claims.

Professor Monica Wang joined WBUR’s All Things Considered to explain why health experts are working with content creators to get evidence-based information into people’s feeds.
