Rep. Bill Keating: Trump Administration 'oh for three' on reasons, objectives and end game of Iran war
As Congress debates and vote on the president's power to carry out a war, Massachusetts Rep. Bill Keating calls it a solemn responsibility and probably the most significant vote a member of Congress will ever make.
It's especially solemn, Keating said, as American troops have already lost their lives in the U.S.-Israel war against Iran.
Keating represents the Cape and Islands, South Coast and South Shore. He said President Trump and his administration have failed in how they've gone about this.
"Fundamentally, when you're bringing young American men and women into war, number one, you have to know why you're going into it. You have to know what your objectives are, and you have to be able to forecast what you want as a result," Keating said. "They are oh for three in this right now."
Keating spoke with WBUR's All Things Considered host Lisa Mullins.
This segment aired on March 4, 2026.
