Alt-rock musical duo Twenty One Pilots, Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala and rapper Travis Scott will be headlining this year's Boston Calling. The Memorial Day weekend music festival announced its lineup Thursday, with names like Greta Van Fleet, Anderson .Paak and Mitski in the mix as well.

This comes amid a slew of other music festivals announcing their lineups, which could give us a sense of how the season will go. Governor's Ball in New York City will be headlined by The Strokes, Florence and the Machine, and Tyler, The Creator. Tennessee's Bonnaroo is led by a Phish comeback, Childish Gambino, Post Malone and The Lumineers. Coachella, in southern California, will have Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande on the big stages.

The three-day annual Boston festival is calling the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston home for the third year in a row. In addition to the touring acts, locally-bred groups include the stalwarts of Guster, post-hardcore band Pile, breakout indie singer Clairo and the bandcamp phenom Sidney Gish.

For the comedy stage, Michael Che — the "Saturday Night Live" comedian known locally for his denouncement of Boston as the "most racist city I've ever been to" — joins Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Melissa Villaseñor, Mariana Franklin, Sam Jay and Lamont Price. In addition to its established comedy showcase, the festival is partnering for the first time with the Boston Ballet for a series of performances.
